Social Media Week Lagos kicks off today and the buzz is everywhere.

Chris Cox, Chief Product Officer for Facebook is in town, so y’all need to show some love apart from Jollof Rice ūüôā

Lagos is not the only city having all the fun as Hamburg and New York are concurrently hosting attendees.

I picked Tuesday, February 28 to come support, interact, and learn. Can you take a guess why?

It is Travel Africa Day tomorrow!

You definitely know how excited I am about traveling and when you add African Tourism to that, I am sold.

May I just say at this point that this event has been on my radar for months now. Being the opportunity grabber that I am, I took advantage of the early bird registration and got a free pass. Yay!!!

If you don’t have yours yet, don’t fret, you, we shall not forget. Sign up for a campus pass here for N 1,000.

Just like the Ake Festival, Social Media Week Lagos needs some serious strategy. To make the best out of it, you need a schedule as there are hundreds of events going on. The Landmark Center in Victoria Island is the main venue, but there are other venues hosting great events too.

The Beauty of Google Calendar at Social Media Week Lagos

Google Calendar is in sync with the Social Media Week website, so I have all my events nicely laid out and planned. Here is what my Tuesday at Social Media Week Lagos will look like.

8:30am-9:00am Show up bright, chatty, and early for the Eat Drink Lagos hosted Travel and City Bloggers Breakfast. (It is always a great idea to start with food. Wink.)

9:00am-10:00am Head over to the Innovation Stage for the BusinessDay hosted Digital Journalism panel. Time to show some love to the family at work.

10:15am- Post greeting and laughing with everyone from the previous event, I may hang around and meet new people

10:30am- 11:30am- Pop into the Truth Don Die panel on Social Media in Public Discourse. There is something real and gritty about that panel’s name, who knows it may be a hit.

12:00pm-1:00pm Travel Africa Day kicks off with a panel hosted by the Afro Tourism team. I absolutely love the content they come out with on their site and magazine.

1:30pm-2:30pm I will be schooled on Public Relations & The Business of Blogging. This one will have all my senses alive.

3:00pm- 4:00pm TVP Adventures will show us how to Travel the New Nigeria and I will be there soaking it all up.

So, there you have it, my action packed Social Media Week Lagos Tuesday Schedule.

Which of these events would you like me to feature on the blog?

Let me know quicky, and I WILL  extract all the goodies  just for YOU:)
